PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – A key member of the secondary will start Steelers training camp on the physically unable to perform list. Safety Jalen Ramsey suffered a knee injury during offseason workouts and is likely to miss the first couple of weeks of camp.

Steelers GM Omar Khan said they are being cautious and didn’t infer it would be a lingering issue. He did not have knee surgery.

Thoughts were the 31-year-old would move back to a nickel, potential rover position this season after playing safety for the first time in his career last season due to other injuries.

Ramsey had his fewest interceptions (one) in five years in 2025. He finished with 88 tackles (53 solo) and a career-high three sacks in his first season with the Steelers.

Second-year defensive back Donte Kent is the only other player to start camp on the PUP list.

Broderick back

Suffering a neck injury in the Bears game in Week 11 last year, tackle Broderick Jones will return to full practice for the first time since that injury Wednesday in Latrobe. Jones is cleared after participating in partial work during OTAs and mini-camp.

The 2023 first-round pick is in the final year of his rookie contract.
