President Joe Biden will be in Pittsburgh Thursday afternoon.
He'll be at the site of the new Fern Hollow Bridge talking about "rebuilding our nation's infrastructure" according to a release from the White House.
The President is expected to arrive at Pittsburgh International Airport at 12:15 p.m. and is scheduled to speak at the bridge site at 2:15 p.m.
Governor Tom Wolf and Democratic Lieutenant Governor John Fetterman, who is also in a close U.S. Senate race with Dr. Memhet Oz are expected to join Biden, along with Pittsburgh Mayor Ed Gainey, Allegheny County Executive Rich Fitzgerald, U.S.
Senator Bob Casey and other local leaders.
Biden will then join Fetterman in Philadelphia later in the day for a fundraiser.
The bridge collapsed nearly nine months ago in the early hours of January 28. Several cars and a bus fell into the ravine below. No one was seriously injured.
The collapsed happened just weeks after the $1 trillion infrastructure spending bipartisan bill passed in Congress.
The new Fern Hollow Bridge is expected to open before the end of the year, with additional construction around the area planned for 2023.
