The Allegheny County Board of Elections confirms to KDKA Radio that they are aware of a possible election scam.
Someone was reportedly calling voters, mainly the elderly and disabled, during Election Day offering to come pick up their ballots.

Steven Spohn tells KDKA Radio he received a call around 11 a.m. from an unknown number and the person asked for the voter by name and said they were with the “Office of Voter Pickup”, which doesn’t exist.
After asking the person to identify themselves, the person refused and hung up.
Spohn says he contacted police, who told him the best thing to do was to hang up.
He then went to social media to warn others of the possible scam,
“I'm a disabled person voted by absentee ballot,” said Spohn. “They had my name and address. But they seemingly did not know that the county had sent me confirmation of my ballot being accepted as of yesterday. So somehow they got my name and address but didn't know that I had already voted.”
Spohn adds he is feel less safe after the incident.
Allegheny County Councilwoman Bethany Hallam says they’ve contacted the Elections Director after she was heard of two other separate incidents.
“Never EVER give anyone your ballot unless it’s to the post office or County Elections Office,” said Hallam.
