A restaurant in Southwestern PA has been ruled “out of compliance” after an inspection earlier this week by state officials.
The Department of Agriculture’s Bureau of Food Safety says El Gran Patron on Route 228 in Cranberry had several violations.
Some of the violations include food items temped above the safe-holding temperature of 41 degrees in a draw low cooler.
They include raw shrimp, raw chicken, raw beef, tomatoes and cooked vegetables between 48 and 50 degrees.
Items, including lettuce, tomatoes, Pico de gallo and cheese were found in another cooler between 47 and 49 degrees.
Chicken was also found temped at 58 degrees.
Other issues include a door in the side kitchen with a gap that “does not protect against the entry of insects, rodents and other animals” and a soda gun holster behind the bar has debris on it.
You can see any updates and the full inspection report here.
The restaurant is allowed to continue to operate why it corrects the violations.
