Officers responded to a report of shots fired at the intersection of Smithfield Street and Fort Pitt Blvd. A male victim told police he was traveling behind a red Chevy Impala that was blocking two lanes, so he honked his car horn for the vehicle to move.
When the driver pulled alongside the Impala, the passenger allegedly fired several rounds at the victim's vehicle, striking the rear driver's side door twice.
The suspect's vehicle then took off onto Smithfield Street. No injuries were sustained.
