PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) — On Wednesday, the Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh announced a positive COVID-19 test that came from the Sacred Heart Elementary School.
The case came from an individual that is associated with the volleyball team.
And because of that positive case, 19 people affiliated with the team will move to virtual learning for 14 days to adhere to protocol from the Centers for Disease Control.
Families and administrators have already been notified of the cases and its fallout.
The school building will remain open, though.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with all of the students and volunteers. We look forward to the students being able to participate in our virtual academy and anticipate they will be able to return to school on a regular basis very soon," said Sacred Heart principal David Barr
