The Pittsburgh Public Schools says from May of last year until the middle of this month, it has documented over 9,000 cases of people not stopping for a school bus with its Stop Sign arm out.

It's issued tickets at a rate of nearly 39 a day.

More than half of these happened during Back to School Season.

And there were also more than 1,600 school bus passing’s in October alone.

The penalty for a first-time violation is $300.
