Police identified the security guard as Daniel Stiefvater.

According to detectives, Stiefvater shared inappropriate images and communicated with the student through multiple forms of media.

Those incidents occurred both on and off of school property.

Stiefvater was arrested and charged with several felony offences.

The victim confirmed the allegations of sexual contact when questioned by police.

The 17-year-old victim did reciprocate feelings for Stiefvater, but told him they couldn’t have a sexual relationship until she turned 18.

Despite her statement, documents found the two were exchanging sexually explicit images as far back as 2020 and meeting in August of 2021.

Stiefvater is being held at Allegheny County Jail while waiting arraignment.
