PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation District 11 has announced some ramp closures to take place on Wednesday night.
On the night of Wednesday, Oct. 21, PennDOT will do some quick work on some of the I-376 ramps.
The affected ramps will be closed starting at 8 p.m. and will run until 5 a.m. on Thursday morning.
The ramp closure locations are as followed:
1. Route 60 Steubenville Pike on-ramp to westbound I-376
2. Westbound I-376 off and on-ramps at Robinson (Exit 59) interchange
3. Montour Run Road on-ramp to westbound I-376
The crews will be working on milling and repaving operations at the ramp sites.
But those crews will also not be working at each closure simultaneously.
The appropriate detours have already been established, too.
There will be signage posted for the detours and they are as followed:
Steubenville Pike (Route 60 – 22/20) On-ramp to Westbound I-376
1. From Route 60, turn left onto the ramp toward East 376/East 22/30 toward Pittsburgh
2. From eastbound I-376 take the ramp to Ridge Road (Exit 61)
3. Turn left onto Ridge Road
4. Turn right onto Campbells Run Road
5. Turn right onto the westbound I-376 ramp
6. Follow westbound I-376 back to the closed on-ramp
7. End detour
Westbound I-376 Off-ramp to Robinson Town Centre
1. Continue westbound on I-376 past the closed ramp
2. Take the ramp to Montour Run Road (Exit 58)
3. Bear right toward Cliff Mine Road
4. Continue straight toward 376 East toward Pittsburgh
5. Take the ramp to eastbound I-376
6. From eastbound I-376, take the ramp to Robinson Town Centre (Exit 59)
7. End detour
Summit Park Drive On-ramp to westbound I-376
1. From Summit Park Drive, take the ramp to eastbound I-376 toward Pittsburgh
2. Continue eastbound on I-376 past the closed ramp at the Crafton interchange
3. Take the ramp to Ridge Road (Exit 61)
4. Turn left onto Ridge Road
5. Turn left onto Campbells Run Road
6. Turn left onto Route 60 (Steubenville Pike)
7. Turn right onto the ramp to westbound I-376 toward the airport
8. End detour
Montour Run Road to Westbound I-376
1. From Montour Run Road, take the ramp to eastbound I-376 toward Pittsburgh
2. Take the Robinson Town Centre Boulevard (Exit 59) off-ramp
3. Turn left onto Summit Park Drive
4. Take the ramp to westbound I-376 toward the airport
5. Follow I-376 westbound back to the Montour Run Road interchange
6. End detour
The nearly $8 million project will focus on "milling and paving, concrete patching, drainage improvements, guide rail updates, median barrier replacement, sign improvements, pavement marking installation, and other miscellaneous construction activities."
Also worth noting, there will be 13 other closures and subsequent detours that will arise during the rest of the week and weekend for ramps within the corridor of the construction.
