The outage resulted in low and no water pressure in Bloomfield, East Liberty, Friendship, Garfield, Highland Park, Homewood North, Morningside, North Point Breeze, Point Breeze, Shadyside, South Oakland, and Swisshelm Park.

Over 6100 homes are in the advisory area. Water pressure was restored Sunday around 5 a.m. but due to the pressure loss, contaminants could possibly enter the water supply.

As a precaution, residents are advised to boil water used for consumption for at least one minute.

To see if your home is affected, check out PWSA's website where you'll find an interactive map and the locations of water buffaloes.

PWSA is testing to ensure the water is safe for drinking and cooking.
