Two underage females face charges, accused of assaulting a woman on Market Street in Downtown Pittsburgh Tuesday night.
Pittsburgh Police say the incident happened shortly before 11 p.m. in the 500 block of Market Street.
Downtown Public Safety Center officers say the victim told police she was assaulting and her purse was stolen after she was attacked by "several juveniles who had been following her.
One of the juvenile attackers was found on Liberty and 5th Avenues.
A second juvenile female was also detained at the same intersection a short time later. The woman's purse was not recovered.
The victim was taken to the hospital with minor injuries and the two underage girls were charged with simple assault, riot, disorderly conduct and harassment.
Police are working on identifying others involved in the assault.
