A man is in the hospital recovering Friday morning after being shot in Shaler.

The shooting happened Thursday afternoon around 5:30 in the 1400 block of Mount Royal Boulevard.

Police say another man was taken into custody at the scene, no word on the name of the alleged suspect and no word on what led up to the shooting.
