Local convenience store chain Sheetz has announced they are lowering its price of gas for Thanksgiving week.

In a release sent out Monday morning, Sheetz says the price of their gas is dropping all the way down to $1.99 a gallon.
That is $2.03 cheaper than the average price of gas in Pennsylvania and $1.69 lower than the projected Thanksgiving week national average, according to AAA.
The price drop is only available on the unleaded 88 blend of gas at all Sheetz locations.
The price drop takes effect immediately.
“Sheetz is a family owned and operated company and at the heart of everything we do is giving back to our customers and the communities we reside in,” said Travis Sheetz, President and CEO of Sheetz. “We hope this price reduction provides much-needed relief at the pump for our customers as they travel for the Thanksgiving holiday.”
The price of gas hasn’t been that low since the beginning of the pandemic in March 2020, when demand for fuel went way down.
