Since 1952, Sheetz Inc. has been one of the largest and most well-known family-owned and operated companies not only in Pennsylvania, but the entire surrounding area. States including West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland, Ohio, and North Carolina are other places where you can find one of their 24-hour stores. And now, the company is adding yet another location to the city of Pittsburgh. This location will not serve any food, drinks, or gas, but will instead be a place for future and current employees.

Sheetz officially opened a brand new office for their corporate employees in Pittsburgh's Bakery Square, next to their existing office space in that location. There were over 100 local business leaders and elected officials to officially open the company's expanded office space on Thursday afternoon, May 18th. The new space is the first improvement in the Bakery Square for Sheetz since their other office building which was built in 2019. The two neighboring offices will double Sheetz's footprint in Pittsburgh.

"Our mission at Sheetz is to create a business that puts the Sheetz as we know it today, out of business," said Emily Sheetz, Vice President for Strategy & IT at Sheetz. "The expansion of our office space at Bakery Square will allow us to further develop, test and implement transformative products and services that will help Sheetz meet and surpass customer demand for the ultimate one-stop-shop."

This new office space will house members of Sheetz's IT, Data and Innovations departments, as well as its corporate employees who reside close by. Part of the company's mission and reason to build such a large space for its office employees is to grow their company and expand their business to regions in the surrounding area. During the event, Sheetz announced a $5,000 donation to the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy.

With over 675 stores, Sheetz hopes that this new office will provide a better support system for each of those stores across the country.
