Los Angeles-based skateboard company Primitive Skateboarding is adding some 'Neighborhood' flair to its product lineup.
The company this week announced a partnership with Mister Rogers Neighborhood to produce a collection of clothing, accessories and a skateboard deck, all utilizing photos of Mister Rogers and/or the television show logo on the merchandise.
The goal with the collection is to raise mental health awareness according to the company.
In a message posted on their website, Primitive wrote "Profoundly ahead of his time, Fred Rogers understood the significance of Mental Health. Through the medium of television, Mister Rogers entered not just homes but the American psyche. Mister Rogers Neighborhood allowed for a monumental shift in how we looked at our communities, our families and most importantly ourselves.
"Mister Rogers' message to the world is simple; 'Let’s make the most of this beautiful day.'"
