The Allegheny County Health Department has shut down the Boom Boom Room on the South Side.

The county says they were operating without a health permit.

Additionally, the department website shows that the business failed to post occupancy limits, had inadequate pest control, inadequate cleaning and sanitization of food contact services, inadequate toilet facilities and was serving liquor from an unknown source.

The Boom Boom Room was in the news recently when a man initially accused former Pitt star and NFL player Aaron Donald of assaulting him during an altercation at the club in April of this year.

It was later revealed that Donald did not attack the man, but instead tried to save the victim by breaking up an altercation.
