Spring may start this evening, but winter weather conditions will continue for a few weeks.
AccuWeather's long-term forecast team expects another "incursion" of colder air later next week like the one we had over the weekend.
The temperature will struggle to find even ground through the rest of the month.
"Be prepared to have some decent spring days, then there will be some chillier times over the next few weeks," explains Dean DeVore.
DeVore says that's going to be the pattern, "I think we're just going to be fighting this colder air up into about mid or late April, then we should just flip it back to [a] more normal springtime warmup."
Dean says February was nicer than the first three weeks of March. In terms of snow, the forecasts were way off.
13 inches were expected in February. But, it wound up being the least snowy February on record in Pittsburgh with just two-tenths of an inch.
