The former home of Fuel and Fuddle restaurant in Oakland is now home to another unique eatery.
Stew Wood Fire Fusion at 212 Oakland Avenue officially opened on Monday morning.
Stew offers a variety of Europe and American fusion cooking with several sandwiches, meats, stews and more.
Owner Karen Perdomo, says they have tender Argentine beef and house-made Balkan bread.
Stew is also using the wood-fired oven that was a staple of Fuel and Fuddle.

"We were familiar with the Oakland area already a chance to bring different flavors and foods because it's such a diverse place," said Perdomo who also owns The Columbian Spot, with locations in Oakland on the 3500 block of Forbes Avenue and on the South Side, on the 2000 block of East Carson Street.
Perdomo says everyone is welcome, including nearby hospital workers international students on the local Pitt, CMU and Carlow campuses and anyone else who happens to be in the Oakland area.
Beer and cocktails are also available.
Stew is open seven days a week from 11 a.m. – 12 midnight.
Fuel and Fuddle closed in late-May after nearly 20 years in business due to rent "and just about everything else" becoming too much for owner Brandon Smith.
