An iconic Downtown Pittsburgh restaurant is closing its doors for good.
The Carlton, which has been shuttered since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, will hold a final goodbye party on May 27th.
Owner Kevin Joyce told Marty Griffin on NewsRadio KDKA that it was a difficult decision. "My lease was up here at BNY Mellon Center and we really couldn't re-up at this time."
Joyce says his entire inventory of wine will be marked down to sell at the event on the 27th.
The Carlton first opened 37 years ago, in 1984, and has been in the same location ever since.
