PITTSBURGH (100.1 FM and AM 1020 KDKA) As many went out to celebrate New Years festivities across Pittsburgh, violence erupted in the South Side.
Around 2:00 a.m. Pittsburgh Police responded to the 1700 block of East Carson Street for reports of gunfire.
When officers arrived they found a man with multiple gunshot wounds, one to the chest and another in the hip.
He was transferred to the hospital in critical condition.
While securing the scene, police found two more people with gunshot wounds of their own.
One was shot in the foot and the other suffered a bullet graze to the thigh.
Witnesses reported to police that the shooting occurred after a fight on the 1700 block of East Carson.
No suspect descriptions are available and the investigation is ongoing.
