A man is facing a number of charges after allegedly assaulting a woman and threatening construction workers who came to her aid.
This began around 12:45 Monday afternoon on the 2100 block of Lowrie Street.
Police say Matthew Dougherty was involved in a violent assault against a woman, and then pulled a gun on two construction workers who were working at a house next door because of the noise from a jackhammer.
Police say he returned inside the home and again started to assault the woman and then attacked one female construction worker with pepper spray and then hit a male worker with his car as he tried to leave.
Police say Dougherty then fled on foot before he was arrested.
His car was found eight blocks away.
