As seasonal travel gets in full-swing, the Transportation Security Administration is looking to bolster officers at Pittsburgh International Airport.

TSA announced Wednesday that they are looking for full-time and part-time workers to become TSA officers in Pittsburgh within the next few months. New employees would receive a $1000 bonus with 50-percent of that bonus at the start, and the other $500 after one year of service.

After assessing the increase in seasonal travel and the progress of the COVID-19 vaccine for the general public, efforts to recruit new workers has ramped up nationwide.

TSA offers benefits for both full-time and part-time employees such as paid training, annual sick leave, retirement benefits and strong healthcare plans. The starting pay in Pittsburgh is $17/hr with opportunities for pay increases after six months.
