Two local civil rights groups held a news conference Thursday to discuss viral video of two recent arrests.

B-PEP and the NAACP are questioning the use of force by Pittsburgh Police officers.

B-PEP's Tim Stevens says the videos showing the arrests of Devlon Pridgen and Morgan Daniels are concerning:

"Many citizens of the community were concerned about what they saw. Some things just appeared to be some issues with police abuse of power."

He says that despite what the video shows, he wants to wait for the results of the full investigation.

"We will await the full investigation because sometimes, what you see may deceive what is reality on either side."

He believes officials are committed to training in each police zone and hopes to establish a partnership with Pittsburgh Public Schools to teach students how to interact with police.

NAACP President Daylon Davis says the meeting was productive.

"We did also get a commitment out of the public safety team to partner with all sort of organizations that were in attendance to have public meetings and to help educate the public as their rights to use of force, as well as have some trainers from the police academy to come to these public meetings"

B-PEP says they remain optimistic about moving forward and increasing the communications been police officers and the community.
