Two people were killed in separate shootings Sunday in the City of Pittsburgh.

Around 3:00 Sunday afternoon, police responded to a shooting incident in Homewood, at Finance Street and North Homewood avenue, near the east busway station.

A 21-year-old woman was found with a gunshot wound to the upper body.

She was taken to the hospital where she later died.

Then around 4:30 Sunday afternoon, a 29-year-old man was found shot in the head while in a vehicle in Manchester, at Stedman and Fontella Street.

He was transported to the hospital where he later died.

In the Homewood incident, police say two males with masks fled the area in a vehicle toward Penn Avenue.

In the Manchester incident, there have been no suspect descriptions.

Prior to these two shooting deaths, there had not been a fatal shooting in the City of Pittsburgh since October 4, when two men died following an early morning shooting in the Hill District.
