A bill that would provide $250 million dollars in funding for frontline health care workers is one step closer to being passed in the state.
State Senate and House Republican leaders today announced $250 million dollars in funding that will be directed to hospitals and frontline healthcare workers who have worked to keep Pennsylvanians safe during this pandemic.
Senate majority leader Kim Ward of Westmoreland County said the funding would be directed to retention and recruitment programs.
The bill was approved by the Senate on Tuesday and is scheduled to be considered by the House Wednesday.
