Allegheny County Police arrested a West Mifflin man Thursday and charged him with aggravated assault, kidnapping, rape, and false imprisonment.
West Mifflin Police officers responded to calls of a woman being held against her will at a home on Maryland Avenue in West Mifflin.
While at the home, the officers reportedly witnessed 51-year-old Demetrius Pirl pull a woman back into the home from the front door.
Pirl was detained by police and the 33-year-old victim, a McKeesport woman, was taken to a local hospital for treatment of injuries which included fractures in her face.
West Mifflin Police requested assistance from Allegheny County Police during the investigation. Detectives learned that Pirl had allegedly assaulted the woman in Duquesne and then arranged to have to taken to his home in West Mifflin against her will.
Police say that's where Pirl sexually assaulted the woman and tried to hide her from police.
Pirl was arrested and taken to the Allegheny County Jail.
