Alzheimer's disease is more prevalent among African-Americans than among whites — with estimates ranging from 14% to almost 100% higher! (ALZ.org)
Sophia Duck is with the Alzheimer's Association here in Greater Pittsburgh and she's going to give us more astounding numbers about Alzheimer's and the fact that there still isn't a cure!
Sophia and I both lost our grandmothers to Alzheimer's and so this one is a bit of a personal journey.
Alzheimer's has effected so many people across the country and you would think by now there would be a cure. But did you also know funding for research is lower than funding for heart disease, cancer, and HIV?
