Wondering if we'll have a white Christmas? Warmer weather seems to be on its way.
According to the National Weather Service Pittsburgh has had a 31 percent probability of there being an inch of snow or more on the ground on Christmas day for more than 30 years.
With the snowfall around you might think it's likely that 2023 will be a part of that 31 percent, however, Accuweather's Joe Lundberg, has different news.
“I think temperatures are going to routinely going to be in the 40s starting (Thursday) and all the way up to Christmas Day,” said Lundberg. In fact, I can see by Christmas Day how we can get to 50 degrees and most of the snow is going to be gone by Christmas Day.”
Lundberg adds that most of the United States will be without snow.
In fact, the country is expected to see the lowest snow coverage totals in Christmas Day history.
As of Wednesday, the forecast for Christmas Monday is 56 with a low of 50 and mostly cloudy.
