Faith and community leaders and survivors are holding a vigil on Tuesday.
Hadley Haas, who volunteers with Mom's Demand Action, says that it was mass shootings like those at Parkland and Sandy Hook that made her want to take a stand against gun violence. Haas will attend Tuesday night's vigil.
She says they will read the names of gun violence victims in the region since November.
"Connor Wolf, the 5-year-old, who was a victim of an unintentional shooting by his older brother in Penn Hills. That includes Marquis Campbell, the 15-year-old student at Oliver Academy who was shot just outside of his school just a couple of weeks ago," said Haas.
"Rachel Bowden, who was a victim of an estranged partner. A variety of heartbreaking stories."
The vigil will take place at 6pm at Deliverance Baptist Church in Wilkinsburg.
