I could have used my weekly editorial to address the underreported insanity at the southern border of the United States and the Biden Administration's dehumanizing mismanagement of immigration. It is an awful situation. Last Wednesday alone 834 unaccompanied minors were detained according to the Department of Health & Human Services.
834 kids. One day. Hideous.
Currently, over 14,500 unaccompanied kids are being held by our federal government. It seems that these poor children are pawns in an elite, international game. Federal politicians should be ashamed. I feel, in a way, that many of them, including President Biden, are complicit in the human and drug trafficking that has exploded due to their policies. These policies are resulting in death, murder, rape, transmission of Covid, and much harm to those enduring the treacherous journey, as well as, many many permanent residents who reside north of the border.
I could have dedicated my weekly editorial to amazing new software that tracks the investments of those holding public office. Did you ever wonder what exactly leaders invest in and how some become fabulously wealthy after entering public life? Couldn't be due to insider trading, right? I mean, there are laws against that. The 'Stop Trading On Congressional Knowledge' Act of 2012 requires members of Congress to disclose their stock trades. Well, using trade reporting, analytics, social media stories, and enriched data - Qi2 Research unveiled new, lightning fast software this past week. It is called 'Capital Trades.' Keep an eye on it. It should soon provide some interesting headlines from Washington, DC until it is banned.
I could have written another story about Covid. However, I've written about that several times. Besides, what exactly was the reason for me to get the vaccine? Yes, I know that those who get the vaccine are much less likely to get extremely sick or die from the virus should they contract SARS-CoV-2. But why get it if we are still fighting over the damned masks that were promised to go away after we obediently submitted to injection?
Health officials note that 99% of hospitalizations and deaths currently involve the unvaccinated. So, why are we fretting? 88.3% of Pennsylvanians over age 65 are vaccinated. Nearly 57% of those 18-64 are vaccinated. About 12% of those under 18 are vaccinated. The pandemic is now a struggle that the 'unvaxxed' face along with those who are forced to schedule their work replacement after one of them gets sick. Those who made the decision, for whatever reason, to get jabbed should not fear. They should not have to endure bickering over 'mask mandates.' There is absolutely nothing preventing someone from wearing a mask if they so choose. Stop fighting over it. Science tells us that the N95 respirator masks are the ones that truly work in slowing the spread. The fashionable cloth masks and flimsy paper masks that most Americans have been wearing improperly do nothing in preventing illness. Mandates are a power-play, in my opinion.
No. The story that really chapped me was a grotesque piece in the Wall Street Journal. The Headline: 'McDonald's Pushes Diners To Use Trays As Food Bags Run Tight.'
OK. Nothing earth shattering about the headline. So, why did I find it so shocking? Well, the byline says it all. In fact, I find it as scary as hell. To me, it could be a prelude of the dark ages to come. A warning that society is in for deep decline. Who knew that the downward spiral would commence in a WSJ article about the limited supply food bags with the 'Golden Arches' printed on them and the panic and anxiety this would cause?
The byline quotes McDonald's officials as saying: "Many new crew members have never had to deal with trays." WHAT? That is the official excuse? This is a crisis? This is causing my fries to get cold as I wait for my order? People cannot figure out how to put food on trays instead of in bags?
Are these the same people who have trouble transitioning from t-shirts & shorts to light jackets when the season's change? Is this the real reason that McDonald's serves breakfast all day? Because someone had a difficult time transitioning from frying eggs to frying burgers after 10:30a? Holy crap. We are doomed.
The company, whose stock is worth $235-a-share, states that the, quote, "transition to using trays has been slower, more difficult because we haven't done it in so long."
Doomed, I tell you!
