Woman arrested in connection with backpack full of homemade bombs

A backpack left on a sidewalk in Clearfield, Pa., contained homemade bombs and led to the arrest of the woman who allegedly left it there.

The found backpack contained drug paraphernalia in addition to four “improvised explosive devices,” according to the Clearfield Regional Police.

Brandi L.K. Boris, 46, was determined to be the backpack’s owner and was taken into custody after a warrant was issued for her arrest.

A search of Boris’s home turned up a number of materials used in the creation of explosives, police said.

Boris has  been charged with possession and manufacturing of weapons of mass destruction, make repairs, sells, etc… weapons, and use/possession of drug paraphernalia.

Her bail was set at $1 million.
