911 was notified of a shooting in Munhall late Monday night.
First responders were sent to the 3900 block of Main Street a few minutes before 11 p.m. where a 30-year-old woman was shot once in the leg.
The victim was taken to a hospital in stable condition and Allegheny County Police detectives are investigating.
Allegheny County Police say the woman was outside a home when she was approached by a man wearing a ski mask who demanded money.
After an altercation, the man shot the woman and fled.
The suspect is described as a thin, black man, about 5-foot-5. No other information is known at this time.
