A fast-expanding bakery cafe based in South Korea is setting up shop in Shadyside.

Paris Baguette has signed a lease to take the former William Sonoma location in the 55-hundred block of Walnut Street.

The new restaurant, now under construction, will employ about 30 people, and will offer a menu of baked goods, sandwiches, salads, drinks and more.

Paris Baguette is expected to open in November of this year.

Paris Baguette operates 4,000 locations around the world and currently has 150 stores open in the United States with a goal of 1,000 by 2030.

Late last summer, it was announced a location is planned for The Block Northway on McKnight Road.
