Grandpa Joe’s Candy Shop wants your pennies and, in exchange, they’ll give you candy!
The Pittsburgh-based candy shop, with two dozen locations and more in development across the country is collecting your pennies this Friday, Saturday and Sunday at its Strip District location.
Called “The Great Grandpa Joe’s Penny Exchange” the shop says if you can fill up one of their boxes with pennies (about $5 worth of pennies) you will get two “World Famous” $5 Candy Buffets.
“Clean out the car cupholder, raid the junk drawer, empty that penny jar from 2008… if you can fill our box with pennies, we’ll swap it for candy,” Grandpa Joe’s said on social media.
Grandpa’s Joe’s Strip District location is located at 2124 Penn Avenue.
