Pennsylvania enters April with 5.3 million vaccines administered

The fight against the spread of COVID-19 continues, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania has administered over 5.3 million doses of the vaccine.

Through the first day of April, there have been 5,309,424 total doses across Pennsylvania.


The numbers break down as 3,557,192 first/single vaccines administered and 1,752,232 second doses.

The 5.3 million marker is 32% of the states population and it is projected to rise to almost 6 million by the end of the week.

Vaccines began being administered in Pennsylvania during the week of Dec. 14 with the Pfizer vaccine.

The Moderna vaccine was given the go-ahead on the week of Dec. 21.

The single dose Johnson and Johnson has finished its first month in circulation after being started on March 1.
