PITTSBURGH (100.1 FM and AM 1020 KDKA) The City of Pittsburgh is preparing itself as another large snow and ice storm are on the horizon.
Starting around 3:00 a.m. Monday, there is an excess of eight inches predicted to fall through the following day.
The city is preparing more than 50 salt trucks and plows citywide to maintain clear roadways.
The trucks are scheduled to begin at 10:00 p.m. Sunday night.
Residents with street parking are requested to park as close as possible to the curb to allow the best road treatments.
In addition to salt and plow trucks, city workers will be out Tuesday morning shoveling and salting steps, sidewalks, and bridges.
Crews will be working the entirety of the storm.
