PITTSBURGH (100.1 FM and AM 1020 KDKA) A Pittsburgh woman has pleaded guilty in conspiracy to rob three banks in the area in 2018.
Donna Poremski, 44, pleaded guilty in federal court on Tuesday to a series of bank robberies that occurred in West Mifflin, McCandless, and Penn Hills.
All of the banks that were robbed were PNC Banks and the robberies occurred between June 23, 2018 and October 18 of the same year.
Poremski and her partner entered the first bank in West Mifflin on June 23, 2018 dressed in traditional Middle Eastern attire, including hijabs to cover their faces.
The two threatened tellers with a firearms and threatened they had a bomb; The tellers handed over $61,124 in this robbery.
During the second robbery on September 6, 2018, the two took $35,500 from the McCandless PNC Bank.
Again Poremski brandished a firearm.
During the third and final bank robbery on the PNC Bank in Penn Hills, Poremski threatened tellers with a firearm but never brandished one.
The two were only able to get $350 from the Penn Hill PNC Bank.
In total there was $97,004 taken from the three banks.
Poremski's sentencing is scheduled for August 24.
