Around 8:40 p.m. Friday night, Pittsburgh Police responded to a 9-1-1 call for shots heard on the 1600 block of Westchester Street in Westwood.
Before arriving to the scene, officers were informed of a vehicle leaving the area and given descriptions.
The vehicle was later located in Manchester and subsequently pulled over.
The driver of the dark sedan notified officers of a wounded passenger, who suffered a gunshot wound to the leg.
The officers provided aid until medics arrived and transported him to a local hospital in stable condition.
There is currently an ongoing investigation.
