Police respond to call in Homewood, find animals living in poor conditions inside home

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 100.1 FM and 1020 KDKA) – Pittsburgh police responded to an assault call on Tuesday night in Homewood.

Upon arrival, a male suspect was arrested and found numerous farm animals living in poor conditions.

Animal Care & Control and the Humane Animal Rescue were notified, and took into possession three dogs being kept outside in cold temperatures, two goats, two pigs, four chickens, four reptiles, and one scorpion.

Anyone with information on animal abuse is asked to call the police or the Humane Animal Rescue.
