Josh Shapiro continues to lead Doug Mastriano in the race for Pennsylvania governor.
The CBS News/YouGov Battleground Tracker survey shows the Democrat has 54 percent support compared to 45 for the Republican a 9 point difference, down from 11 last month.
Voters perceive Shapiro is more mainstream. Being labeled extreme is hurting Mastriano among independent voters.
On the leading issues, Mastriano has the advantage on the economy, inflation and crime.
Shapiro has big support among voters who say abortion is very important.
The survey of nearly 1100 registered Pennsylvania voters was conducted between October 21 and 24 and has a 4.1 percent margin of error
