Ida’s wake has caused flooding, tornadoes, and heavy rainfalls across the state of Pennsylvania causing large amounts of damage.

"I am requesting a federal disaster declaration because Pennsylvanians and our communities need and deserve critical support as they recover from significant damages to their homes and public infrastructure," Gov. Wolf said. "This storm brought historic rainfall and flooding, as well as rare tornadoes, devastating many communities.”

Gov. Wolf’s request has a major disaster declaration for Individual and Public Assistance for a number of counties on the eastern side of the state.

The request also includes a Hazard Mitigation Grant Program to be made available for each county in the state.
