Hundreds of gun rights advocates rallied today on the state capitol steps in Harrisburg.
At the annual pro-gun event, many pushed for a proposal to let anyone who can legally possess firearms to conceal them without a license or permit when carrying in public.
State Representative Daryl Metcalfe, a Republican from Butler County, organized the rally in support of the 2nd amendment, which guarantees the right to bear arms.
He says the purpose of the event is to press for legislative priorities such as the "constitutional carry” bill and a proposal to limit local gun ordinances that are more restrictive than state or federal law.
