State Senator Doug Mastriano says he will introduce a bill allowing teachers and staff to be armed at schools.

The measure would allow them to get training and obtain a concealed carry permit.

Mastriano says killers are often attracted to soft targets like schools, where they know victims are not armed.

32 states allow teachers and staff to carry a firearm on campus.

This comes days after six people were killed at a Christian school in Nashville, TN.

Three of the victims were children, three were adults. The shooter was killed by police.

On Wednesday, police responded to calls of an active shooter at several schools around the area and across the state. Those calls were all unfounded.

The act, known as swating, has also been reported in other days the past few days.
