Passenger vehicle thefts in the U.S. rose 8 percent in 2021 compared to 2020. But what vehicles were stolen the most in Pennsylvania?
According to a report from the National Insurance Crime Bureau, nearly 1 million vehicles were stolen in the U.S. last year.
The bureau president has said that the value of used cars has seen a 35% increase in the past two years due to supply chain and inflation issues.
And if you drive a 2003 or 1997 Honda Accord, the report states those models were the most stolen vehicles in Pennsylvania last year.
Next on the list comes the 2020 Nissan Altima, then the 2000 Honda Civic.
Other commonly stolen vehicles in Pennsylvania include Ford Pickups, Toyota Camry, Chevy Malibu, and Jeep Cherokee
Victims of car theft should contact the police immediately to file a report, and then call your insurance company.
