PITTSBURGH (100.1 FM and AM 1020 KDKA) Late Friday evening, Pittsburgh Police and SWAT operators responded to multiple reports that a man had forced his way into a neighbor's apartment before barricading himself inside.
The incident took place in the 5600 block of 2nd Avenue around 8:00 p.m.
The suspect broke into his neighbor's apartment and barricaded himself inside, forcing the call for the SWAT team.
When the suspect refused to come out multiple attempts were made to communicate with the suspect and get him exit the apartment.
Eventually, police gained access to the apartment and took the suspect into custody without incident.
The female occupant of the apartment was inside and was not harmed.
The suspect faces burglary charges.
