PITTSBURGH (100.1 FM and AM 1020 KDKA) TSA agents have confiscated their 10th firearm of the year at Pittsburgh International Airport on Thursday morning.
Officers caught a Butler County man with a .45 caliber handgun loaded with five bullets at the security checkpoint.
A resident of Cranberry, had the handgun in a backpack that was seen while in the checkpoint x-ray machine.
He now faces a civil penalty for bringing a gun to a TSA checkpoint.
It's April 1st, and this is the 10th gun found at Pittsburgh International so far in 2021.
21 were found during the entire year of 2020 and in both calendar years passenger rates have been down because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
