It’s an old story with a new twist.

It’s believed by many that the New England Patriots cheated against the Steelers in the AFC Championship Game in 2002 to advance to the Super Bowl.

But on a recent episode of “Footbahlin with Ben Roethlisberger”, Hall of Fame running back Jerome Bettis is convinced the Patriots cheated in the 2004 AFC Championship Game.

He claims the Patriots knew what the Steelers were going to do on offense.

“It was 4th and 1, (the Patriots) called a timeout,” said Bettis.

He claims the Steelers offensive line coach call a play using his hands.

He claims the Patriots nose tackle went to the sidelines and was told what was going to happen and the Steelers were stopped on first down.

“They had our signs and they called a timeout to get them ready for that play, because they knew it was coming, no question in my mind,” Bettis told Roethlisberger.

Several former Steelers like Hines Ward and Chris Hoke has talked about how they’re certain the Patriots cheated in 2002.

Cook & Joe speculated that the Patriots could’ve just picked up the signs.

“Is it on the Steeler to maybe change their signals at some point,” said Ron Cook.

Former Patriots cornerback Asante Samuel responded and says New England was just better.
