Three Pirates prospects have dropped out of Baseball America's list of their top 100 prospects.
Short stop Liover Peguero, who appeared in one game for the Pirates last season is no longer in the top 100. This time last year, Peguero was 78th this time last year.
Nick Gonzales, currently at Double-A Altoona, is also out. He was ranked 49 last year. Gonzales hit .264 across three minor league teams last season.
Right-handed pitcher Quinn Priester is also missing from the top 100, 88 last year.
Priester was 88th on last year's list. He went 5-5 with a 3.29 ERA over 19 games started in 2022.
Versatile catcher/second baseman and outfielder Endy Rodriguez is the Pirates top prospect, coming in at 23. He hit .323 with an on-base percentage of .407 last year in the minors. He was not on last January's list
The Pirates' second top prospect on the list is second baseman Termarr Johnson, who was taken in the first round of last year's draft by the Bucs at four. He is ranked 49th. Wasn't on last year's list because he wasn't drafted yet.
The first overall pick of the 2021 draft, Henry Davis comes in a 73, 41 last year. He hit .264 overall in 2022 with an OBP of .380. He also dealt with injuries.
The final player to make the list is RHP Luis Ortiz, who was signed by the Pirates during the international signing period in 2018. Ortiz did not appear on last year's list
Ortiz started four games for the Pirates in 2022 going 0-2 with an ERA of 4.50 over 16 innings.
