PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – A few are ruled out for the Steelers on Sunday, but it doesn't appear the injury to a starting corner is as bad as originally feared.

Corner Donte Jackson left the game against the Jets with a shoulder injury. Tomlin called it 'minor' on Tuesday. He said it might limit his participation in practice early, 'but by no means do I expect it to limit his game availability.'

Safety Damontae Kazee was close to playing against the Jets, Tomlin expects him to play with no restrictions this week.

Potential return (will see how the week plays out)
·     Tailback Cordarrelle Patterson (ankle)-suffered the injury during the Colts game after runs of 12, 11, 9 and 10 yards during a series to get the Steelers into the red zone. Potential Monday to have the entire starting backfield together
·     Special teams linebacker Tyler Matakevich-he will start his way back from a hamstring issue that put him on Injured Reserve.

OUT for Giants game
·     Versatile defensive lineman Montravius Adams sustained a knee injury against the Jets. It's not known how long he will miss

Assumed out, but the way Tomlin put it was 'nothing new to add' with a pair of players who were out last week. It would be surprising if center Zach Frazier (ankle) or outside linebacker Nick Herbig (hamstring) return against the Giants especially with the bye week following that game and the potential for more sustained rest.
