LATROBE, PA (93.7 The Fan) – Aaron Rodgers had to leave for a couple of reps on the final day of work in Latrobe with a few back from injuries and a final public practice at St. Vincent College.

#1 Rodgers hobbled but ok
It happened on the second play of 11-on-11 drills Tuesday as Rodgers had his foot stepped on. The play was aborted and he hobbled around a little bit. He did not return to that session, but did by the time team drills resumed about 20 minutes later.
“He just got stepped on,” Tomlin said. “It was nothing of any significance. He finished his work.”
He did, after that drill, Rodgers returned for every rep.
#2 Ramsey returns
Jalen Ramsey has missed practice for about a week. It was never stated what he was dealing with, a couple of times Tomlin said they were looking at other players. There isn’t a player in camp who has impacted their unit more than Ramsey. Even in a practice setting, the defense is noticeably better with him in it.
“His versatility,” Tomlin said. “Our ability to do a variety of things because of his versatility. His ability to man a variety of different type of athletes. His multi-positional approach to ball. He can play free safety. He can play nickel. He can play outside corner.”
“He’s just a very, very useful chess piece.”
#3 Other injuries
· OLB Alex Highsmith joined his teammates wearing his jersey as the defense goes through individual drills. He didn’t participate, but it appears he is getting close to a return from his groin injury.
· WR Calvin Austin was on the sideline as was tight end Jonnu Smith, each are considered day-to-day
· Rookie defensive lineman Yahya Black had a wrap on his right arm, tackle Calvin Anderson was not practicing neither did center Ryan McCullum
· Cam Heyward and Chris Boswell were at practice and around their position groups but neither did any work.

· TE Darnell Washington had a one-handed, combat catch on the sidelines, keeping both feet in as he was dealing with contact
· Early in practice with the energy down, Pat Freiermuth shouted to the offense ‘this is bull----, play like you want to play. We gotta pick it up.
This is bull----.”
· DB Jalen Ramsey had an interception that was originally picked by Joey Porter, but knocked up in the air and grabbed by Ramsey.
· Ramsey had great coverage on DK Metcalf during a one-on-one drill and after knocking the ball away wagged his finger like Dikembe Mutombo
· LB Cole Holcomb had a diving interception across the middle and got up and ran into the end zone from about 20 yards out.

#5 Tomlin on Rodgers
Asked what Mike Tomlin has learned about Aaron Rodgers during their time together in Latrobe.
“He loves football,” Tomlin said. “I think is the thing that is on the tip of my tongue. He displays it daily. He has a love affair with this game, one that he is willing to share with others. He's passionate about it and I think it’s contagious.”
